Matthew brings extraordinary thinking, sensitivity, and ambition to L&ND’s projects - he is a true architect of the land. Matthew’s perspective is holistic, driven by site and environmental context. The result of his creative direction for the planning, design, and development on any architectural project is an intensely profound connection of space with place. Matthew makes architecture materialize from the land. With over 20 years of experience at NBBJ, EDSA, 40NORTH and Raymond Jungles, Matthew has worked and directed many noteworthy projects around the world.
Matthew Lewis
Technical Director Johnny has worked intimately with LAND’s Partner for the past 12 years directing the successful technical and rendering production for construction documents and permitting drawings. A graduate of the Universidad Central, San Jose, Costa Rica, Johnny oversees our Latin America-based production and office. brings continuous oversight and creation of LAND’s renderings and 3D model for design packages. Prior to his lead role with L&ND, Johnny worked with US-based 40North and Costa Rica-based Vida Design Studio. Johnny’s portfolio includes sophisticated technical work for private residences, restaurants, resorts, private islands, and commercial developments in Miami, Panama, Australia, Costa Rica, Italy, Turkey, and the UAE. Johnny’s expertise includes AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, rendering software, as well as grading and hardscape design.
Johnny Gutierrez
Partner + Compliance Director Principal Marsh Kriplen has more than 20 years of design, construction and management experience. He has worked in landscape architecture, architecture, water feature design and construction management over the course of his career. He served as Studio Director with Raymond Jungles in Miami and Director of Landscape Architecture with both Robert A M Stern Architects, New York and Delta Fountains, Jacksonville. This rich professional and academic background enables him to work comfortably with clients from a project’s inception through completion; while his management experience allows him to oversee general project coordination and compliance for a number of private and commercial clients.
Marsh Kriplen
Marketing Director Aline is trained as an architect and has directed and coordinated luxury projects in NY, Saudi Arabia, London, Mexico, Miami and throughout the Caribbean. Based in New York City and Miami, her role is to oversee the styling of projects, to shape and execute the visual essence of a project into a unique experience.
